The Mach 1 is the best looking mustang to come out of FORD in quite a while.

Sweet.

More proof the DOHC motor is the motor to have.

LOL Grabber1!

LOL..Grabber1 you crack me up. Man you sounded like you just ran down to the "mall and picked yourself up a little sweater or something." ROFL. Wish I could just drive down to the dealer and pick a red and black up! Sweet Dude! Does the Mach 1 Body style come on their entire product line? Which did you get?

srv1, thanks for the av.:D

Jennifer, the Mach is a special production just like the Bullitt. If you luck up and find one at a dealer for msrp, grab that thing up and drive like hell! Its the best sweater I have ever worn!!;) I got the 5spd with interior upgrade. The only other option was an automatic. Heres a side pic.

Man, Nice Looking!

Yes, Sir! Your butt does NOT look big in that car. Nice sweater and pants for that deal. I was just checking it out on ford.com. I agree. I may have to take drive by and pick one of those up myself!

32-valve 4.6L DOHC V8 engine 305rwhp/320rwtq, Valve train with Roller Finger Follower technology and 3.55 gears. Still get 17/25 MPG..Hee, Hee..Not bad at all.

Man, this bad boy is up there with the SVT Cobra. Throw an IRS on that bad boy and you got yourself on hella machine for $29,000. Not bad at all my friend. Especially since it's an Icon and will rake you a good resale value.

Well, thanks youre not bad yourself.;) Heres a few more pics to entice you. Plus the ride is outstanding. Smooth, tight and responsive. The power is underrated, closer to 335+hp. It is the best Stang I have ever had the privilege to drive!

Thats not a bad looking ride you have there yourself, I caught the pic over in the lapdance discussion.:p

Hey Grabber

Hey Grabber,

I sent you a post on another thread. Car is most impressive Sir. I checked most dealers here in my area over the weekend and came up EMPTY. Not even a dealer showroom model to pay a premium on. I WAS ONE DAY LATE! Someone already macked their dealer car. Damn!

Some salesman tried to get me into a Saleen (he needed a Jenn schooling. It appeared he was new to the CAR sales biz... ROFL), but I can't justify the cost. It's special, but not $89,000 special ($72,000 on mark down). Unless Steve Saleen actually torked on the car himself. I'm not buying the cost. The S281E is nice, but hmmmmm. It didn't have the "extreme rainbow" Saleen paint (an $11,500 option...Geez) so, I'm not sure. I did the math on the Saleen website BEFORE I went so I had him! I told him

"Sir, with all due respect, that car is for some Dumb A** rich business man who will buy it because he THINKS it's better then the $61,000.00 base one, with significant options, because in this current day of instantaneous gratification, he will BELIEVE it must be better BECAUSE he pays MORE for it. WRONG!"...your 'mark down' says it all.....Dealer MARK-UP....LOL...Bye, I'll call in a few weeks to see if you have any Mach's in"

Ahhhhh it felt good! Jenn's Ode to all the guys/girls that have been taken by these screws!

How large are the front rotors on that bad boy? 13"???? Nice. Beautiful caliper assembly...(if one can be called that...LOL) I really like the Cobra Caliper/Rotor set up...Soo cute...LOL...

The cowel makes putting a strut tower brace on him a bit difficult. Hope there are some serious sway bars and control arms on that mother! How does he handle in the curves....concrete to asphalt transitions on the road?

Thanks! I take care of my car. Dad (and Mom) brought me up that way. He gets polished about once a month. Detail weekly inside and out. Not as crisp as some show vehicles, but he's clean. I modify him once the OEM parts fail (except springs...badly needed from original production). Just prefer to allow the machine to function as it was engineered and THEN make it better once it goes kaput! Maintain the fluids and service schedule religiously. If FORD said.....then Jenn does. (Lie, well, I never decreased my Tire Pressure in the Explorer's tires. I felt that was the tire mfg's. call.) Don't like the blame game if something fails in their engineering...

Anyway...I think that is a mighty impressive machine you got there. Enjoy. I can only hope one will become available soon. (I have my $ all ready)...

Jenn

Hmm

Since we are in the same town Jenn, I might be the guy that macked that other one if it was at Folsom Lake Ford :D

I picked it up last friday 11/29 and it is AWESOME!

Robert :p

the resolutionon this laptop sucks...i cant see it very clearly....but, what exactly makes up the front grill? im looking into options for my GT for there...is it just nothing? lol...looks like a black hole :)...maybe you can take a close of pic of the front air dam/headlights area for me...

damn i love your car...and im still hyperventalating over the fact that the mach 1 comes in black and grey too...and i found out about 5 days ago....still breathless....verrrrrrry sweet in red too :):)....after the warranty is up, i want a shaker scoop...only $700 :D....im looking into that little $70 chin spoiler too...its that much neeeded touch to the GT's high front end...

definetly a great find...ive been dying to see one on the road for over a year now :D:D

jonathon

Grabber1 12-07-2002 02:55 AM

No front grill, it has a factory delete. It's available from CDC. http://www.classic-designconcepts.co...splay/543.html

I believe they have they chin spoiler as well, so does KarKraft. It really looks good, but it also helps give some downforce. Good luck with your mods!
