Ran my car at Richmond Dragway, Richmond Va
Okay, got a chance to take my car back to Richmond Va today, its been like a year and a half since I got he chance again .
Lesse, wayback then it was 5 quarts of Mobil 1, a 70mm T-body, and 3 chamber flows on stock radials and absolutely no experience driving a manual car, also back them it was with a 1/2 tank of gas. IIRC, my best run was 14.59ish Anywhosit, this time, the only changes were a set of 275/50R15's BFG Drag Radials on a set of Convo-Pro's. Run 1 14.37 @ 99.08 with 2.251 60 ft. time. 26 psi in the tires and 1/4 tank of gas. engine at normal operating temp. did not warm tires Run 2 14.49 @ 97.98 with 2.268 60 ft. time. 26 psi in tires and 1/8 tank of gas. engine at normal operating temp. did not warm tires Run 3 14.03 @ 98.81 with 2.193 60 ft time. 15 psi in tires 1/8 tank of gas. engine had cooled down to about 1/2 of normal operating temp. warmed tires in what had to have been the most pathetic burn out of the night. What do you guys think (btw this makes about 6 or 7 runs total down the track from last fall to this fall). was hoping to crack the 13's and 100+ tonight, but had to call it short. By the time I make it back to the track I'm hoping to have upgraded the exhaust with an X-pipe, and new exhaust (a ding-dong smacked my car about a month ago and jacked the exhaust). I'm thinking about going with a catted X-pipe and bullet mufflers (anybody try this combo yet?) along with that Steeda cold-air pack (3/73 gears, cold-air and flashed computer) and maybe some pullies, the Steeda kit appears to eliminate the need for a timing adjuster? Any thoughts? warranty's out (got 31,000 on it), but I still got to finish my 91 stang before I can get serious on the 4.6 and rip into it.

what are you leaving the line at cause you should be getting at least 1.9 60" on drag rad. I can get 2.0s on the stock tires
I say if you can get your 60's down should be able to hit a 13 with out a problem

Yea, he is right. My brother has a '99 and he is running 2.0 60's on stock radials. Work on your launch and tire pressure on those drag radials. Some people are running 8.5's in the 1/4 on drag radials and a recent test put them only .01 behind a cheater slick.
If you had gotten a good launch the last time you were out, you would have seen 13's. Do you have a timing adjuster? Get one.
