Computer chips worth the $$????
I got a 93GT with a computer code A3M. IS this one of the infamous computers that people suggest you mod?? I'm mid-process in a 393 stroker buildup but I MUST PASS EMISSIONS. Will modifying the A3M computer kill the possiblility of passing?? Are they worth the hundreds of dollars?? I've heard the pro's and con's of going either way.

Noone ever gave me a straight answer to this, but would pulling the electronic hookup to one or two of your injectors (essentially making a 7 or 6 cyl engine) lower your emmisions? The easiest way to kill a cylinder of cours is remove the spark plug, but that sends unburned gas out the pipe, no good. More direct to your question, you would probably want to get one of those chips that has two settings, one for economy and one for power, cause an aftermarket computer is probably tuned for performance.
