hesitation
 

I HAVE A 1999 ROUSH STAGE 2. I HAVE A RONDOM PROBLEM ON COLD STARTS. WHEN I START THE CAR AND PUT IT IN GEAR, AS SOON AS I GIVE IT GAS, IT WILL FALL ON ITS FACE. IT SEEMS TO ME TO BE A FUEL PROBLEM. I WILL MASH THE GAS, AND THE CAR WILL SLOWLY PICK UP ACCELERATION. ONCE UP TO SPEED, IT WILL RUN FINE THE REST OF THE DAY. I HAVE HAD IT IN THE SHOP, BUT SINCE IT IS A RANDOM PROBLEM, THEY HAVE NOT FOUND ANYTHING. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRICIATED.

Could be a fuel delivery problem.

Did the FORD techs have the car over night so that they could start it up in the morning?

I'd check to see if there is a TSB for the 99+, start up or fuel related.
