When I got my car they had the subframe connectors already on them, but the guy I got it from said they helped. You really don't need them unless you like to corners really fast or you do road courses. About the gears, though, I have heard from reliable sources that 4.10 and even 4.30 are great for a Cobra they really wake it up. But it will drop your mileage, my 3.73 drop mine about 2 or 3 miles to the gallon. Any cold system will work great. All they do is replace your air box and tube (part of the way) and feeds the air colder hence the name. What you could (I am thinking abour it) is also to buy a bigger air reader to allow more air and throttle bodies. Do that and you will notice a huge difference.
