1995 Mustang Cobra Speedometer

Is this speedometer controlled off a cable off the transmission or is it by the VSS and engine computer?

The reason I ask is my Friend bought a 1995 Cobra that was gutted and now has a 347 Stroker with a Holley on it. The complete engine harness is gone and there is no computer left in the car.

So if it was controlled by the computer is there any way to make it work again or will he have to get some different type of Gauge set-up?

No it is not, it is mechanically controlled I believe. That's why you need a new speedo gear whenever you go with different gears. And even if it plugs into the computer, the gauges should have no trouble with a computer, as long as it is the same model as the original one.

Found out it is electronically controlled, no cable.
