ID guide
Are there any guides out there (websites or books, etc.) that have concise identifications of all the different model year Cobra's? It may seem like kind of a stupid question but I would like to be able to differentiate between the model years at a glance by the rims, hoods, badging, bumper covers, etc. Horsepower breakdowns would also be good to know. I have noticed quite a few Cobras in my area now and would just like to educate myself. Recently I test drove a 98 Cobra at our local Ford dealership and it was a blast. A Cobra will definately be my 3rd purchase when money allows.
Thanks for the help Stefan ------------------ 66 Standard coupe 200 inline 6 - Pertronix ignition, Flamethrower Coil, K&N, Clifford Perf. 6 into 2 headers, Holley carb, three row radiator 96 GT Convertible Splitfire plugs (they were free - don't laugh). I have the book and REALLY enjoy it. As I am one of the 2000 rolled over to 2001 and still waiting Cobra buyers, this book is all that is keeping me off Prozac...

Thanks for the info guys. Man, does this affliction never end? I've got my two Stangs (the 66 needs a lot of work yet and the 96 is stock so far) in the driveway waiting for some spare cash to spruce 'em up. But there's this 65 fastback for sale.... and I see a lot more Cobra's than I used to so I'll need one of those too... I've always wanted a Fox Body.... aaaaaagh!
I don't need Prozac, I need to rob a bank. Be careful of that book. I was looking at the 'preview' page on the website and I found an incorrect statement. I sent an e-mail to the author and he said its hard to list all of the 'unique' aspects of each car. He obviously has not fixed it!
Here is what I found: On page 38 (For 94-95 Cobras) the caption below the picture on the top right is incorrent. The picture shows the driver's side valve cover with an identification label. The book claims that label is only found on 1995 Cobra engines. Well my 94 Cobra has that label, so the book is wrong. ------------------ Moderator www.SN95.com 1994 Mustang Cobra 308ci, ported heads, Crane 2031 cam, Vortech S-trim 11#, FMS 1 5/8 headers, BBK Offroad H-pipe, 2-chamber flows, and several other goodies.
