uhhhhhhh...beef it up...more?!? with a vortech & x-pipe you have to be running some serious power. how many lbs of boost is your vortech? you will be very happy with your cobra for many years to come as it is now, just like I am with my '93. you may want to put on some drag radials to help put that power to the ground, if it sees limited street use(the drag radials are only good for 5-10K miles). are you taking it to the track to see what it can do? let us know!

Good grief! I'm just happy to get my '01 Cobra! It is a sweet car. Much better than my '88 GT was, but it did take a little getting used to the different power band. Right now, I'm not even considering mod'ing it -- it's bone stock for now, and it's gonna stay that way, at least 'til next year
I can't believe you're complaining about power with the Vortech kit, and you just got the car! Relax with it for a while. ------------------ CodeNinja 2001 Laser Red, "Bone Stock" Cobra |

Well look into suspension upgrades?
The power could be increased but is that what you're looking at? Congrats on the snake! |

Depends on our goals.
Drag, Road courses, Street racing or more sporty than stock while on the street?? Steeda offers great packages for all the above. If you want serious suspension stuff Maximum Motorsport offers just about everything you need to really tighten things up. ------------------ K! I agree with everyone else. Work on the suspension next. Make use of all of the power you currently have before trying to add more. Congradulations on having a bad a$$ car!

I just jumper drom a 89 LX 5.0 to a 99 Cobra myself... I can definitely relate when it comes to appreciating a new ride! The 89 was no slug either... But the whole Cobra package is really a treat! I would have to agree with the other guys in "Relax, and enjoy!"

Definitely get gears. At least 4.10s. Don't want to get too steep though with the blower on there. I'd say 4.10s. You'll still get good gas mileage, too. It'll get you into your power band much quicker.
