Question richmond 6spd

I am thinking of trying a richmond 6spd in my 65 mustang. I currently have a T5 which is not going to last very long. And if I am to upgrade my tranny, why not just skip the tremec and go straight to the best? I am wondering if anybody has tried to fit one of these trannys into a 65, and if so how well did it turn out and operate? Thanks in advance

I'm putting one in my 66 (which sounds similar to your setup). I am still working out the hydraulic clutch setup and mine will be going in after I finalize the setup. We put one in my buddys 78 vette and it ROCKS. There was an article in 97 where DB Performance put one in a 65.

I would use the cable clutch retro kit from mustangs plus and a lakewood tremec/richmond 5&6 spd bellhousing. Have you test fitted the trans in place to see if it fits well yet?
