Default How do I tell if I have the T-45 or the Tremex 3650?

I have a 2001 Mustang GT 5 Spd. I'm about to get a aftermarket shifter, but how do I tell if I have the T-45 or the Tremex 3650?

Check your manual....

I THINK the following is correct:

All Mustang GTs built after March 1st, 2001 have Tremec 3650s.

01 GTs built before that date had T-45s.

Hello Steedamustang01
TheTremec 3650 has its drainplug in the bottom of the transmission - the t45 is on the side.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't say in the manual, but look at the sticker in the door jamb. On the bottom line towards the middle it will say axle and then TR next to it on the right, if it says K under the TR you have the 3650 if not you have the T45
