Default 100 shot with stock injectors?? ok?

Guys, will i be alright spraying a dry 100 shot on stock injectors? im going to order the stage 1 kit, and go straight to the 100 shot, i need to put some modded f-bod's in their place....

I will be upgrading to 24'lbers soon, but i'll have the bottle on sooner, what do you think? i do have a 190 pump already.

one more question, what kind of e.t's can i expect with a 100 shot? im already running 12.9's 105-106 on the motor....thanx alot.

Why risk it if you've got bigger injectors already on the way? When you're pushing your 'stang to the limits: small mistakes = big repairs.

Why risk it? What risk is there in using nitrous with the stock injectors?? Don't listen to mtv...you'll be fine running a 100 shot on stock injectors. You already have the fuel pump, so you'll have enough pressure and volume in your fuel system. Having enough fuel pressure and pushing enough volume are the most important things to worry about with a dry nitrous system. But all dry systems are just about fool proof these days with the Hobbs switches they come with...which shuts off the flow of nitrous into the motor if the fuel pressure drops below the required 80-85psi. You'll be fine. If you step up above a 100 shot you may need an additional inline pump...I did...but I only have a 155lph in the tank...so you may be ok. Good luck...& happy squeezing!

I also think you'll be alright... keep an eye on your bottle pressure (900min-1050max psi), step down one heat range on your plugs, and gap them @ .035"

Do you have an adj. fuel pressure regulator and a gauge mounted on the cowl to monitor fuel pressure? If not, it's something to consider...

As for ET, it's hard to say... I'd guess anywhere from 11.9's to 12.20's with a good tune and traction.

I had the NOS 5115 dry kit on mine for a while and hated it. I converted it to a wet kit using a cheater fuel noid and NX nozzle, and with the same hp level jettings, the gain was VERY significant.

BTW, my old combo was running about the same NA mph as yours when I had the wet kit, and it picked up about 8mph with the 100 DRY shot.

I'd say 11's aren't completely out of the realm of possibility.

I agree with Drew... the Nitrous Express single nozzle wet system is MUCH better than the NOS 5115 dry system.

The NX system is superior in every way, IMHO. And before you upgrade to 24lbers, it would be a good idea to get the bottle heater, purge valve, gauge, etc. package that NX offers.

Well the 24's are in, and a 75mm maf to go along, im tossing the 73mm. n20 is coming soon, well i want to stay away from the wet kit's, to the guys saying they dont like the 5115 kit, just staying simple, and yes the bottle heater helps alot i understand...

Would my plugs be alright at .045??
I have a fuel guage, but it's on the shrader valve, i'll have a n20 guage, but it will be mounted on the bottle, should i worry about bottle psi while im running down the track??

Thanx alot, and im going to try my hardest for an 11 sec pass.....

I would try to stick to a gap of closer to 0.040" With that small of a shot, you should be fine with that as long as you go 1 range colder on the plugs. Thats what I did with mine at that hp level.

For your application, having the gage on the bottle is fine. Just check it right before the run, and make sure you've got atleast 900psi. I ran mine plenty of times without a bottle heater, on cold days, and the pressure was like 700psi. Pig rich is all that needs to be said about that

If you haven't ordered the 5115kit yet, then check over on the corral classifieds. They go complete, sometimes with other stuff, for around $300.

Another note. If this is a 5spd car, you REALLY dont want to hit your rev limiter while spraying it. Yeah, the hobbs switch SHOULD take care of that, but I don't know if it can react quick enough. I have an MSD window switch on mine to shut nitrous flow off before I hit the rev limiter.

Just a thought to help keep your motor together
