Default Black Magic Fan Install

I just got my Black Magic Electric fan for the Mustang 5.0. But when I went to bolt it up to the radiator, it won't go all the way to the radiator because of a bend in the top of the radiator. The radiator was made that way because it has the same bend on the other side. I was thinking of bending this back up or cutting it off inorder to get the fan to fit. Anybody else out there have this problem? Also, I just installed a pair of underdrive pulleys (Crank and Waterpump), new Motorcraft waterpump, and soon this electric fan, am I going to have any problems with my alternator charging the battery? The motor stock other than those mods.
