I put a filter on the breather tube. It has worked so far. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

hey i have the holley kit that creates a lot of pressure and WAS sucking oil from that "tube" to the throttle body. i have a breather on there now and cannot see any more oil leaking from that area. BUT, can i remove that tube that goes from the oil filler neck to the TB? what will this do, and what would i put over the hole that would be left? thanks,

You most defenetly have to remove the tube that goes from the TB to the filler neck on the valve cover. With a blower, the discharge tube is always positive, even at idle. Behind the TB, its negative pressure. It is at a negative pressure while at idle and most of "normal" driving. It only goes positive when you have the TB wide open and you start supplying more air than your engine can use .... backpressure. What you were doing is always blowing in air to your crankcase. Not a good thing. You are seeing the results.

If you don't have a blower, its best that you leave everything alone. If you are getting someblow by, you can add the breather element in place of the oil fill cap. All you have to do is get some 3/8" vacuum caps to plug the holes with.

Either add a breather filter or add a vacuum pump. Breather filter is about $20 Vacuum pump is a few 4-500 more.

Yes, it takes the palce of the oil cap. It will still work the same, just unscrew the breather element.
