Default Blown 400+ horsepower easy? How much boost ?

How much boost would you people say a non-intercooled blower would take to give me 400 + horsepower at the wheels with my set-up ? Intercooled ?

At sea level air weighes 14.7 pounds. In theory to double your horsepower you just simply need to double the pressure. (14.7 pounds of boost). But that is gross gains. Now you need to subtract what it takes to make that power. (net gains)

So you are looking for around a 33% gain.
Answer to your question would be about 7-10 pounds of boost for a net gain of approx. 100 horsepower at the wheels. This is just in thery, but you get a good understanding of where you need to be. I would intercool it too.

6 psi should put you at or over 400 rwhp.

You want to boosta carburated car....

My dad is currently doing a twin turbo set-up on his 383 stroker and it is carburated, I think he is crazy but we will see.

I'm not sure if I would rather supercharge, turbocharge, or Nitrous this thing. There are too many options LOL

From an ease of tuning and cost perspective, nitrous would be the easiest.

A carbed blower or turbo probably would not be so hard to tune either though, just cost a ton more.

Do you guys think my motor could hold down 8-10 psi of boost if it was intercooled ? And it wouldnt blow the motor after a couple runs?

You would be fine non-intercooled too.

I do not have forged internals. What do you think would be the complete maximum amount of boost my motor could handle? And Horsepower? I dont want to over do it.

My setup should put 425-450 to the ground with only 8#. Hell, I got a stock 150k 89 block to boot!! You should be fine, just make sure the FMU is on right before starting.........

What is in your bottom end? Stock 5.0L bottom ends can handle in the arena of 450 rwhp. I would think in the same neighborhood would be fine. It's all in the tune!
You won't be using an FMU with a carb though, they are all designed to run EFI pressures. There are websites that have info on blow-through setups, I would look into that a bit more.
