![]() I'm thinking about going back using my edelbrock nitrous kit in the fastback. Only thing is that I've changed my fuel pump and my ignitions set up. Now I have a new distriburator with the petronix electronic ignition and a modern wide rotor and cap (the type found on 86-93 5.0's) 8.8 Accel wires the stock temp spark plugs and the stock mechanical fuel pump. I wanted to make the set up simpler so thats why I did it like this. I am probably going to set my timing at 10-12 its at 14 right now, one heat range colder plug, and a carter high volume fuel pump. My question is do I need to buy an MSD 6AL ignition box for the set up. I'm only going to be running 75-100 shot. I know this is long but I just want to make sure I get it right this time. Thank you in advance.

![]() You should be fine with or without the msd but it is not a bad idea. I would go with a digital 6+ because it can take timing out when you use the nitrous and if you decide to go with a bigger shot than 70 to 100 it will be a real good idea and will even add a little more safety to a 75 shot. Either way as long as you have a good coil and a colder set of plugs you should be fine.

![]() I was also looking at the digital 7 but for $530 thats one big hit out of the pocket book. As for a coil I have the petronix flame thrower 40k epoxy filled. Any more recomendation before I jump into my search of 12's will be greatly appreciated.
