Fuel for Strim

My car has about 80,000 miles and I am abou to buy a used vortech S trim blower for it. It comes with everything in the kit except the Trex fuel pump. I installed a 190 lph in tank pump last year and was wondering if i needed to upgrade?? What about other fuel system needs? Will my car be ok with the mileage and the mods?

The 190 probably won't be enough. The pump needed will determined by the HP you make or intended to make. If it were me, I would go with either add a T rex to your existing or get a 255hp pump. Then go to a dyno and see what the air fuel is on a wideband. That way you can see if the injectors and fuel system are large enough to do the job safely.

I'd get a Walbro GSS340 (255lph hi-pressure pump) for $120 and be done with it.

If you're going to run the FMU, your 19's should work fine. If you plan on dumping the FMU, I'd go with 30's or possibly 36's depending on how much boost you plan to run.

Oh, don't forget to back your timing down a few degrees!!!!

Start with timing at 10* and fuel pressure around 40 psi and work from there.

I run both the Walbro GSS340 and Trex inline.
I have a custom ship and no FMU, so fuel _volume_ is really important at low _stock_ pressure.
