The 2.3 turbo uses the same FPR flange set up as the 1.9 Escort, so that would be a easy fix.

I'm just worried about the load value change from using the stock transfer function with a larger MAF. Ignition timing might get a bit high, but I just dont know to what extent. After market MAF manufatures have been selling larger MAF's with larger injectors for year's, if it work's on the stang I dont see any problems with it working on a Escort.
Could the added ignition timing be tolerated with forced induction if the compression ratio was dropped?
