Default Question about cam and supercharger

My question is will a compucam 2030 grind cam work well with an A-trim supercharger on a low compression (8.5 or 9 to 1) 306?

The specs of the cam are as follows:


* Advertised duration: 270 intake/278 exhaust
* Duration at .050 in.: 216 intake/220 exhaust
* Gross valve lift: .533 in. intake/.544 in. exhaust
* Lobe separation: 112 degrees
* RPM range: 2,000 to 5,500

Should work great with the split duration to help out the xhaust side and the extra lift will help out all the way around. You might have piston-valve clearance issues with that much lift, maybe someone else can chime in on that issue. Good Luck.

clearance is fine. I've had the motor together for a while now with no problems. I'm just thinking of adding the blower to it.

if you were going to put a new cam in it i would say get a cam with 114 lobe seperation, but since its already in the car, seems to me like it would work beautifully.

Leaving the natural aspiratied world I see Dave. How are the wife and kids?! Shannon's car is still blown with 8lbs and is getting upgraded as soon as I come back from the gulf. As for mine, you can see in my sig I've went ahead and started the 460 project.

I was just thinking that myself but you beat me to it.

I think your cam should perform good with a blower. 114 would be good but I think 116 would be even better, thats what I had in my blower car and it was sweet. Make sure your exhaust is uncorked and then hold on.
