Nitrous blowing out cats
We heard a rattling noise today sounded like it was coming from the cats. My son dropped the h-pipe and insides of the cats were fried.
We recently installed a nitrous ZEX 75 shot - only gone through one bottle of juice. Could the nitrous have caused burning out the cats - or is it more likely the garbage MAC exhaust kit we installed? |

When you say "fried", what exactly do you mean? I doubt the N20 contributed to it . Race gas can reek havoc on them though, along with 02 senors.

Baffles on the inside of cat were burnt fried. haven't run any high octane race gas, just standard high test at the pump.

If you removed or disconnected the smog pump that is the problem.
Nitrous doesnt ruin cats.
