Pro-jection + blower?
Ok, as you may note I am new here.
Not new to the world, but definitely here, and to superchargers. On to the questions. For a carbed GT what is the best way to add some boost? Not much, under, lets say, 10 psi. 85GT 5spd 4V. Dyno'd at 280 rwhp. Engine, body, suspension, all rebuilt. Preferably without modifying the hood, or at least not much. Perhaps add an inch or 2 of hood clearence. Can a person use a Holley Pro-jectiion system ( I think it is 670 with 80lb x2 on a holley footprint) with either a draw through or blow through? Like a Novi1000 (or older SN92/93). Seems that it should be ok and there is quite a bit of adjustment ability? Or is it best to box up the carb in a blower box, get a 600-750DP blower carb? Would a Holley (ex-B&M) 144 or 174 fit under a hood? Anyone know how much extra clearance it takes? Need an intake? You might be able to tell I need some help finding a direction here. I've been reading and looking around too much and just want to get off the dime. Willing to accept all knowledgeable input. Hopefully from some quality carb guys (or gals). Thanks for listening, |
