Default Mil eliminator

Question do you need to install a mil eliminator if the peformance x-pipe has convertors. I figured you do with the x-pipe if it dosen't have convertors. Also what id the diffrence between the power I could expect between the two. I want to get exhaust just want to decide if it is worth the money to get a new x-pipe with the exhaust. I definiantly don't want check engine lights.

With Converters, it should not set off the CEL. It is worth the money to get a X-Pipe, just cost a bit more for converters. If you get a off road, you will need the MIL's

Not really, not unless you are running boost.

Cool I want good sound and wanted a little more power. I just don't want to buy parts that won't do any good. I know I am doing a cold air kit, pulleys, cat-back probably slp or dynomax and a gear change. What is a good gear for a stock 4.6 gt. I want to add a keene bell but wait untill the warenty is out in three years. I also want to be able to enjoy it now but not have to take parts back off as they wont work with it. I am only thinking about the kit that takes it to right at 400 hp. Any Ideas of things I should be doing now that would help the most.

Gear? Depends on how much you go to the track. Breaks down like this:

3.55 Great Street, good Strip
3.73 Good Street, Great Strip
4.10 Fair Street, Pefect Strip

The only cold air kit that will be worth the money, is a Anderson Power Pipe.
