P-1sc Install
I installed a p-1sc on my 2000 gt. now i don't have a chip on the ecm yet because w/ the one i was given the car will not run and the fan turns on as soon as you turn the key to the run position. also the milage will disappear when the chip is installed. now i have the car sitting on jack stands and i have not really run it yet but i don't have a new fuel pump yet either. i am going to be getting a 255lph pump if possible but for some reason i can't seem to find a 255lph for my year (2000). The car seems to be running really rich and you can't rev it or it just dies but sumtimes u can itle up slowly to about 2500rpm before it cuts out again. i read of a jumper harness for having the "green top" injectors which i do not have, will i need this piece? The other performance parts i have on my car are a c&l trueflow intake a bbk75mm throttle body bbk longtube headers w/ off road h-pipe into mac cat back march underdrive pulleys (i had to remove the march waterpump pulley and install the stock one due to clearance w/ the ATI idler pulley under the alternator) MIL eliminators ford racing 3:73 ring and pinion, pro 5.0 shifter. the car ran a 13.7 flat at 105 last year (w/ bald ventus plus 265-35zr18 rubber bands)at the ffw at new englad dragway in epping n.h. and also ran a 13.42 at lebanon valley in ny w/ bfg comp t/a drag radials. i have also installed a tubluar k member and will be adding full lenthg sub-frame connectors. the car also has eibach lowerings springs. i currently do not have an air/fuel gauge or boost gauge not that that would do any good when i have no load on the motor. would my problem of the car not running be just becaus ei have no chip installed and no jumnper harness? please help the gauges keep doing that thing they do when u turn the key on for the first time when u reconnect the battery just about everytime i turn the car off then back on could this just be due to a low or dead battery charge?

Re: P-1sc Install
well, your first problem is you need a bigger than stock fuel pump or a KB Boost a pump, you also need to get a custom chip or find out why the ecm chip you have is bad. You also need the right injectors, I think for a p1sc they recommend 42 lbs injectors. This means you also need a MAF sensor calibrated to that size injector. I would get in touch with SCT or Diablosport or whoever you like for computer tuning, tell them what you need and what you got, get 42 lbs injectors, get 90mm Ford Lightning MAF sensor, either a bigger fuel pump or KB BAP, and get a boost fuel pressure gauge. These are important because if the fuel pressure drops under boost BOOM goes motor. This would be a good proper starting point.

Re: P-1sc Install
Stupid question but did you install a new mass air meter that is calibrated for the 42 lbs injectors? If you did they could have messed up in the calibration, I have herd of people getting the wrong meters before. Thats what it sounds like to me.

Re: P-1sc Install
don't bother with the factory MAF on your car, it won't support the air flow you need anyways, get the 90 mm lightning MAF, it is already calibrated to 42 lbs injectors, hence plug and play. Thats a good way to go.

Re: P-1sc Install
Well hell theres your problem right there. If you installed the 42's and the mass ait isn't calibrated for them, the car isn't going to run worth a sh*t. Get the meter taken car of and that will take care of your problem.

Re: P-1sc Install
Teamasus17 you mentioned something about a KB boost a pump or a high flow fuel pump, which would be better and where coul i get them i can't seem to find a 255lph in tank fuel pump anywhere for a 2000 gt, i also heard of a dual focus pump set-up, would that be better? i saw it in MM&FF but i don't remember what issue -thanks

Re: P-1sc Install
I'm not talking about size, I'm talking about calibration, any size meter thats cal. for 42's is going to make your car run right, with out the proper calibration your just wasting your time.

Re: P-1sc Install
Personally I like the BAP better, it is easier to install, and works great. Go to kennebell.net and read up on it.
