Default carbs and Nitrous

I am finally getting the new engine in, here in the next week or two. this combo is getting a nitrous kit put on it.

For a 75-100 hp kit, what mods do I need to make to the car's fuel system. The car will have a larger fuel line on it by then, but it still has a stock fuel pump. Do I need to add an electric fuel pump? Fuel pressure regulators?

thanks,
Ryan

i would grab one of those high volume holly mech fuel pumps and run an aeromotive carb regulator with 2 supply ports. One to the carb and one to the fuel solinoid(sp) Get a fuel pressure guage and watch for a dip in pressure while spraying. if it does, then your gonna need a holly blue or some seperate pump to supply the fuel to the nitrous system. I have seen setups using a small fuel cell with a 4 cyl mustang fuel pump sending race gas to the fuel solinoid, all mounted under the hood.

that sucker will break the seat over on tha spray

Your fuel pump and lines should flow .10 gallons per hour per HP at 5psi.
For example, a 300hp engine should be able to flow 30gallons of fuel at 5psi. This is what the NOS instructions say for the sniper system.
If you still have a stock pump, I would at least get a high flow fuel pump or go electric.

I installed a Mallory 140 electric pump, that fed a high performance Edelbrock mechanical pump on my 65 Coupe, daily driver. I then fed the line to a regulator with a 1/8 NPT to install the fuel pressure gauge. One side of the regulator went to the carb, one side to the fuel solenoid. Set pressure at 6 pounds. Also had a Hobbs switch in line that was set at 5 pounds at the N2O side. If pressure dropped below 5 pounds, the sytem shut off.
