How Much Horsepower Will I See At The Wheels?
I don't expect anybody to know this question down to the exact number, but i would like some rough estimates on how much hp/tq i can expect at the rear wheels with my combo?
1992 Mustang 5.0 LX The mods: BBK CAI BBK Pullies Explorer Intake Manifold BBK 70mm Throttle Body/EGR Plate C&L 76mm MAF Sensor BBK 1 5/8" Longtubes BBK O/R H-PIpe Flowmaster Exhaust MSD 6AL Ignition #24lbs Injectors 255lph Fuel Pump NOS 175 Dry Shot Autolite 23's Gapped At 0.035 10* Base Timing 110 VP Race Fuel I didn't use this combo yet, but what is the max nitrous shot i can use before i blow head gaskets? Can my engine handle more hp than this? |

Re: How Much Horsepower Will I See At The Wheels?
I'd say about you'll see 245 to 260 N/A with torque in the 280 ft-lb range. IMHO a 175 dry shot is way too much for this. I'd limit it to about a 100 shot and still pull about 4-degrees. The computer's gonna put you at about 27 to 29 degrees total by 2700 rpm. If you go for the 175 shot, put it on a dyno first, pull at least 10-degrees to be safe, chase your A/F first then add back in a few degrees. I'd still be looking to pull about 8-degrees at the 175 level though if the A/F is good because you're gonna be taxing those injectors.

What injector size do you suggest that I run.
Will bigger than 24lbs injectors effect horsepower without the nitrous. Will i make 360 rwhp with the correct injector size and the 175 dry shot? |

Any reason that you've gone with a dry shot? It really requires that you have a switch-chip with one program for N/A and one on the sauce.
What brand of nitrous system is it? They're rated differently depending on the brand.

What is a Switch-Chip, WILL THE #24lbs INJECTORS BE ENOUGH TO SUPPORT THE POWER I WILL BE MAKING! It is an NOS dry kit.

Re: How Much Horsepower Will I See At The Wheels?
A switch chip like the SCT 6600 can hold up to four custom programs on a single chip. You switch between the different tunes using a little switch. The 24# won't be enough for the dry kit IMHO. If it were a wet system you'd be better shape. I've got a customer with a Mach 1 making 410rwhp on my Mustang dyno with 24# injectors and a Zex wet system spraying a 125 shot. That's a four-valve motor though, making 311 on the motor alone.
