![]() Ok I have a Mustang cobra 95...Im starting to spend some money and I was wondering what the was the best way to get power increases..
I would love to get a supercharger but not really sure where or how to go about in getting one??.. Doesnt neccessarily have to be new, but works well. And if i cant find a supercharger in a reasonable price range.. what are the first things i should upgrade? I was thinking of a 75mm throttle body to start off with.. Any suggestions? |

![]() If you are seriously considering a supercharger, my recommendation is to save for a good, complete system such as the P1SC HO Intercooled system over at Procharger.

![]() Get A grip
Before you buy a blower get the rest of your program in order. You gotta have all the bells and whistles. Pullys, Radiator, Fans, Throttle-Body, and High-Flow and High-Pressure fuel pumps. High horsepower means high heat - high horsepower means more fuel - it takes a half a pound of gasoline to make 1 horsepower. That means that if you want to make 400 BHP you gotta have 200 lbs of fuel per hour. Divide that by 6 to get gallons per hour. You just can't go bolting on stuff to increase the power unless you understand the basics - DUH! Denny@JDS Induction Products - HeadDoctor out |

![]() Ooohh somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed.
Vortech offers a basic supercharger kit (the V2 S-Trim) that comes with all the equipment necessary to give you about a 100-hp increase at the wheels. The aftercooled kit will net even more. Total install time is abouot 16 hours, then count on a custom tuning session to nail the tune. Be forewarned though, that 1995 will not take real well to the modifications. They can be a real nightmare at time. I see a lot of people make the conversion to an A9L-based computer to make the car liveable. Do a search on the internet and you'll find the proper conversion harnesses for not all that much money.
