Spark plug gap with MSD?
I always forget when it comes time to do a tuneup.. what would the spark plug gap be for an MSD6AL with a blaster2 coil?

I have heard anywhere from 40 to 70(believe it or not). I recently gapped mine at 50 and really don't notice any difference. I would say anywhere from 40 to 50 would be optimal. If for some reason you enjoy removing and installing plugs, do some experimenting. Maybe the guys that put there's at 70 do get a benefit from it.

With an MSD 6A and a Blaster 3 coil, I gap mine at .050. No problems.

Using a less than stock gap sort of defeats the purpose of having a high energy ignition. Use at least the stock gap of .054" for better reliability or open it up more for reliability comparable to stock but a much hotter spark. MSD recommends .050 to .060 if you have a compression of 10.5 or less.

The stock is .054. That's the first I've heard of that. Can you tell me where I could view this by chance. Thanks.

The gap is stuck on the emissions sticker. Here's what it is for an 89. It's actually .052" to .056". I just split it. It varies a little depending on your calibration number. The lowest I have seen it is .048"
