Angry G-tech

What a cheap POS.......It is too small......too flimsy....falls off all the time.....and is inaccurate as hell on the mph.

Not impressed.

i was just wondering if you were putting the g-tech up high enough on your window cause if its not high enough ti ill not read right. but yes i agree with you it isnt the most accurate thing. the e-t was always within 2 tenths though. i wouldnt spend the money to buy own.

I didn't have any issues with the one I was using. What were you trapping on the Gtech?

I dont have too many problems with mine. I trap in the 104's (104.3-104.9). My friends mostly stock LT1 camaro traps in the 105's. I think they're off by about 4-5 MPH or 4.5% or so.

I know for a fact that my truck runs a 16.4 @84mph all day long so I G-teched it for an accuracy test. 16.33 @88mph.

My stang G-teched 13.8 @103mph......I will see how accurate it is tomorrow night at the track.

Later,

Actually, I think that G-tech is supposed to be pretty accurate. However, the manner in which it runs its calculations is a little different than how it's done at your local track.

A while back there was a really good thread on the G-techs, how they work, how they differ from the tracks way of measurment, etc.

I've always like to compare track ET & MPH's with people. Some folks like to see that high MPH and equate that to a much lower ET than their car is capable of.
