Supercharger help needed, Hurry
I just put it on. The boost guage does not show boost, but does go from a vacume of -20 to almost zero. It is boosting but the tires lit so quikly I may not have saw it show boost.
The problem is this, Do I still need a vacume line on the FPR, or does the FMU sort of replace it. Right now I have a line on both, and the fuel guage don't go any further than it used to 42psi. This may go hand in hand with the fact that I am not yet showing boost? Well I have a stumble at low rpms? Sluggish. It I slowly go to 2500rpms, at 2500 it clears out, then when I hit it OMG

Exactly where do you have the vacume/boost line hooked up to? Before or after the supercharger? If centrifical is it hooked up before or after the throttle body? If positive displacement is it hooked up in to the inlet if front of the supercharger or after the compressor? This could have a lot to do with if the boost gauge will show boost or not. Same with the fuel pressure gauge. Where is it getting it's signal? To answer these types of questions you have to be a bit more specific to get a reasonable answer, especially since none of us can actually see the car in question. Will gladly help out with the right information if given more specific information.

It is a powerdyne. With a Cobra intake. Right after the TB but on the intake neck, facing the front, thier is a little vacume port. I have that one going to the FMU and I have a T in that line going to the dump valve. The fuel vacume comes off the vacume tree on the back of the intake like it always was before. Also the boost gauge comes from there. Also on the FMU all the way in on the little screw is less fuel correct?

I am pretty sure that I got it now. I drove it for 30 miles or so yesterday. I make some awsome power now.
When I put it on my FPR was set at 41psi. And I turned it up more just out of being nervous. Well a basicly stock motor and 30psi injectors, plus pressure at 48+ psi it all makes sence, I was too fat on the bottom. The more pressure I pull out of it, the better it got. Also I am showing 5psi of boost now. I was told that this thing had a 9psi pully on it. I don't thing so. But for now I am well satisfide with the power. I cannot take off at all now. It is gonna be great.

Did you get the supercharger to work with the speed density or did you convert?
I pretty much have my mind made up on a Novi 1000 super charger. I probably wont get it till this winter so I am just working on the suspension for now. I fully expect to have to convert to mass air. Congrats on the new found HP

Dark it works great, I am over injected as of now, but today at work I will swap the 19s back in. I am going to the trak tonight if the weather holds out. It feels better than the NOS, And it's always there. I still bring my daughter to school in the mornings and the go on to work. I did think I was going to have to convert but I never gave up and it worked out great. I can e-mail a pic and let sombody post it.

Well thats just cool as hell ............I didnt think there was any way to hook up a supercharger on speed density.

I installed 12-1 disc and the 19s last night. Now it idles like stock again. I did go for spin it feels stronger than before. I did not go to the track last night, had some issues at home. To night is a relay for life drag race at the track. I will try to go. I learned a lot on this little project, An soon I will build my own upper intake and water to air intercooler.

88workcar, Don't worry that your car doesn't make 9lbs with a 9lb pulley. To me, boost is a bad thing. It creates heat and with increased heat comes loose of power. Boost is just a function of back pressure. There are lots of variables that control boost. Area of intake, cam, intake tube, air filter and RPM to name a few. Most cars don't build much boost until there is a big load on it, like top of third gear. I wouldn't compair your engine and the manufactures rated pulley. To me, you need to talk impeller rpm. Compair your impeller rpm to your engine rpm and then you can see if you are efficient or not. I have seen guys with the same pulley's make 10 lbs of boost and 18lbs of boost. Different cars, but same superchargers and pulleys. Who is going to make more power ? Thats why I don't get caught up in the numbers game that the manufactures talk about.
Few suggestions : Check boost at top rpm going though traps Use a dedicated vac/boost line going to your fuel regulator. If you need ideas on timing, let me know.

2 friends of mine tryed the tweeler. They both are Ford mechanics and nerds to boot. They said it sucked. Blew a bunch of head gaskets trying to get it right. The head guy at the tweeker place said he had no idea and refunded their money. The problem with the tweeker is that it doesn't know when boost is there and when it isn't. Thats why I like the PMS. Very easy to use and they are cheap to find used.

yes the PMS has a 3 bar map sensor that you can add on to make it boost sensitive. And yes you will need to go MAF for this to work. I know you probably don't want to, but for a supercharger I feel it will be better due to the fluctuations in temp. The PMS will allow you to adjust fuel and timing in low, med, high, WOT ranges. AS well as remove fuel for start up and idle. Boost or Nitrous. If you decide to go this way over your current 19lb injector and 12:1 FMU, you will have better control of your air fuel ratio. And thats what its all about in a charged car. You will be able to even out the spikes that a FMU gives you. All you need is a MAF computer, Matching MAF meter to injectors, biggest injectors you can get, probably 30-36 will do you good, and a PMS with a 3 bar map sensor. People sell these all the time over on the corral.

I have the check valve on it now, I didn't tell any one about it, but know one asked how I got away with the charger and SD. It does work well. I do have a pro m 77 and 30 psi injectors. I will start tring to find a pms. If the charger works out it will be worth keeping. It is so much more power, but I keep having little problems. Right now if I try to accelerate it pops. If I drive easy it never shows. I thing I have a blown intake gasket.

You could buy buy the wms/sds injection www.wmsracing.com . 1000$ boost sensitive, no need for mass-air meter. You could sell the pro-m and mass-air computer.
