Default Turbo on non-turbo 2.3?

I am looking for some more power on my lil 4 banger and I know what everone is gonna say "Put a 5.0 in it" but I kinda want a hot 2.3 dont ask me why but I do. right now I am doing minor things I did some exsaust work for a lil more putting a 5spd in it I am getting a cool air intake for it but I was just wondering if anyone knows if a normal 2.3L will hold some boost say 4-6LBS I know where I can get a turbo motor for it but I dont want to spend that much money and I dont have time to do the swap so any advise here will be greatl appreciated

Well I had an idea for my four cylinder. I also wanna spank v-8 A** with a 4 popper and I was looking fopr a turbo coupe motor. I think yiou have to get like a few other slight mods to put in a turbo but it should be ok Dont quote me on that I am new to this whole turbo 4 thing I suppose just find the differences/parts with a normal 4 cylinder and a turbo 4 and compromise. But i think i will do the more traditional and go V-8

Good luck!

Default No good

The non turbo 2.3L will not hold up to boost very well it is not nearly as stout on the botom as a 2.3L turbo engine.

I would suggest keeping an eye on ebay sometimes they have complete 2.3L turbo engines on there.

Later.
