				 | Tweecer tuning hyperpathetic pistons? What are the chances of successfully tuning a boosted 302 block with hyperpathetics WITHOUT destroying the pistons? Purchasing a Tweecer, or similar tuner, is more cost efficient in the long run, but ONLY if I do not destroy the pistons. This is a stock SN95 bottom end with an ATI Procharger with a 9lb. pulley. My plan was to purchase a Tweecer, conservatively tune the car myself, and then pay for an hour on a dyno in order to more finely improve the tuner's parameters. But this is all contingent on not blowing the motor up in the process. |

With that in mind. Which do you think is a wiser purchase, a Tweecer or an EEC-Tuner? I will installing a wideband O2 independently in order to self-tune my AFR. | |

				 | Re: Tweecer tuning hyperpathetic pistons? i would go with a tweecer or a pms. i use the pms on my vert and my lincoln. anderson gives good tech support. toss a coin to decide. i have never used a tweecer, but i read good things about it. the aem gets good feedback also.

				 | Re: Tweecer tuning hyperpathetic pistons? Thanks for the input. As of right now, I was going to go with the Zeitronix Zt-2 wideband in order to datalog my AFR, boost, and EGT. Then use the regular Tweecer(not the R/T) to tune according to the data that will be logged from the Zt-2. Basically, I'm tired of sitting around researching what routes to take in order to tune my car; I'm just going to do it and figure it out along the way. I see no reason as to why this won't work, and work well. |

				 | Re: Tweecer tuning hyperpathetic pistons? Look at SCT's Racer Tuner package. Its pretty full functioned and along with their Xcalibrator-2 unit allows multiple programs w/ datalogging capability.
