Weight Reduction, can someone tell me if my numbers are accurate?
I figure my 88 Lx with a 351, has a track weight of 3350lbs (260lb driver, full tank gas) I want to break at least 3100lb track weight. Does this sound like a reasonable weight? I have a list of following mods/ parts and what they can do for weight loss, please comment on them and let me know what you think the actual weight of the part/ modification is, and if I can break 3100lbs.
1)Front sway bar deleted: -20lbs 2)Fiberglass hood: -30lbs 3)Fibeglass hatch with lexan glass: -50lbs 4)Aluminum heads: -60lbs 5)A/C deleted and all components attached: -30lbs 6)Back seats, carpeting and hardware:-25lbs 7)Spare and jack:-40 lbs (donut=33lbs,jack=5lbs,lugwrench=2lbs) 8)Aluminum driveshaft: -5lbs 9)Drag lite aluminum rims (front skinnies): -50lbs total 3350-310lbs=3,040lbs Do the weights of these parts sound right? What else can I do for weight reduction? I was also thinking about a mini starter, fidanza flywheel, power steering delete, what do these parts/modifications weigh. According to the ET calculator, if my car weighed 3100lbs with 275 RWHP i could run a potential 13 seconds at 104mph. I'm a good driver, I have all suspension mods and good traction, 351 swap with around 300hp, T5, and 4.10 gears, I should be able to pull mid to low 13's right? After heads and some more work I hope to make at least 300-325 RWHP, can I break 12's? I don't live near a track. I would be happy with low 13's, enough to hang with LS1 camaros and a new GT. I appreciate any help!

Re: Weight Reduction, can someone tell me if my numbers are accurate?
I did everything you listed and a few more things.
The center arm rest is pretty damn heavy and they sell a delete kit for it. 9lbs Rear seat belts 7lbs Dog bone on rear end 12 lbs I just did the rear seat delete, center arm rest delete and removed the seat belts and picked up almost a tenth and 1 mph. I would be surprised if you didnt run 12's.
