Comp Cams VH050 Polymer 5.0 Intake

Maybe this is a better place for this thread???

I'm in the process of installing a 93 5.0 efi w/ AOD in my 67 Mustang convertible. I've been thinking of buying a Comp Cams VH050 Polymer 5.0L Intake Powerbox for two reasons:
1) help with clearance issues with the monte carlo bar
2) mount the top of a vintage oval air cleaner to give it a bit of a vintage look.

My question is, "How much will this affect the performance of a stock motor? This car is a cruiser and I have no plans to race it.

regards,
Brian

your low-mid range torque will suffer significantly with the loss of the 12' of runner length the upper adds. You can help that if you put a good stiff gear in it.

The car is a cruiser, no racing at all. I was hoping for feedback based on street & highway drivability, not a race or "high Performance" perspective.

When you say significantly are you talking 5-10% torque loss?

Thanks for your help
