fastest pass EVER in the TIMEBOMB last night.
well i went off and forgot my 150 jets and all i had in the toolbox was a set of 325hp jets for the big shot plate.. no problem right????????????? wrong.. i was pushing 16lb of boost!!!
this was the FIRST time i have tried nitrous and boost on this motor... well i ended up with a whopping 5.6 in the local 1/8th mile track and blew something at the big end! pics and details to come as i dissasemble tonight! this was a stock ford block, full exhaust, street tire car!!!!! |

Although he is technically right. He DOES have 3.5" exhaust with mufflers, and a 69 BOSS 302 block IS a factory block, and 28x13.5 ET Streets ARE D.O.T. aproved. But on a side note dude, what did you **** up? -Josh, aka the tireburner |
what do u mean by "TECHNICALLY right"???
all words of truth my man! i think i'm gonna have to see how much damage occurs at 10,200 rpm when the oil pump stops turning... oh well ... before the run i was laughing saying that if i break it'll be ok.. cause it was for a 50 dollar race. i even went as far to say "i dont care if it breaks, i've got all winter to fix it!" i fell like crap this morning tho:( kinda mad at myself:mad: cause i was like  when i heard the big boom tried to act  in front of everyone tho even had a little :) on my face for show but now i wonder what i was thinking:confused:   |
10,200 Jesus......I though you shifted at like 8,200
So...................did you win???:) -Josh, aka the tireburner |
i do shift at 8600 i just ran it out the back of the traps at 10200
|
.................................................. .................................
*the above is the sound Brad's motor makes now that's he's split the block* -Josh, aka the tireburner |
Your phucking killing me.
Are you Josh's alter ego or what:D 16#'s of boost and a 325 shot;) Sure thing, |
yep.. 325 big shot nitrous plate and a roots blower make for one wiked torque monster!
anyway.. i'm thinking DART block now.. oh well i have all winter to do something! i must say it went for one heck of a ride.. but i could have done without carnage!:D |
man, did you find out what happened to the engine yet?
5.6 at what mph? what does that work out to in 1/4? 9s? |
I think he trapped 138, I'm not sure.
A 5.6 works out to a high 8 in the 1/4 mile I'm gonna try to get some pics of the brokenness one day this week:) -Josh, aka the tireburner |
i think it broke down the lifter vally.. pics hopefully tonight or tomorrow!!!!
|
Josh, are you and Eric teaming up now? Sounds like something else would have gone bad way before this.
I call BS until I see pictures, and then still maybe.. |

|
Dark and Deuce I can 110% assure you that this car is legit
-Josh, aka the tireburner |
OH NO>>> let the little bastards call me bullshitting.. as long as they put up money to race... i will have the motor FIXED tomorrow and will travel anywhere within 1000-1200 miles to a decent track to run any street tire, stock chassie, stock suspension, full exhaust, small block mustang around.. so put up or stfu!
i dont care who u know with a faster car, i'm talking to the little sob's thats calling my BS right here and right now! well??????? |

Here's a pic of the time slip Brad just e-mailed me. Sorry it's hard to read, but Brad is a cheap *** bastard, lol -Josh, aka the tireburner p.s. Both Drew (FiveOhPatrol) and Marty (CrazyHorseGT) saw this car as Corral day 2003 |
i call BS!!!
haha, just kiddin I've seen the car with my own eyes, and although I must admit brad does some crazy stuff with it, the car is for real. Brad, I've got a great idea for the next combo! Since you'll have a dart block, you can afford to run all three types of power adders! I can see it now, a roots blower, with twin S-trims, a single 88mm turbo, and a dual stage fogger! There's no need for a dart block. That is unless you ever make a 1/4mi pass and want to have power past the 1/8mi marker!:) for real now, what are the plans for the next combo? Sticking with the same heads/blower? |
