You seen the 2002 Z06
I was watching speed vision the other day and Motor Trend was doing a review on the Z06. They also gave a little info on the new Vette. They are bumping up the HP to 405. It already does 12s and does the skid pad at 1g. I hope Ford steps up the plate soon because that means the Camaros are going to be faster too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Camaro going away? As for the Z06, well.....it isn't a Cobra R. I think anyone who loves Mustangs as much as I do knows what I mean.
And believe me, Ford will be stepping up to bat very soon. Can you say 5.4L Cobra, and 5.4L supercharged Cobra R? (keep dreaming) Later. [This message has been edited by bigwhitecobra (edited 07-03-2001).] |

Hey I am not lusting for the Z06. I was just amazed. I am a die hard Stang fan my self. I had heard that Chevy was thinking about doing away with Camaro. I didn't think that it was true. I guess us ford people are buying to many Mustangs. HEHEHEHE
As for the Cobra R they are to rare. I hope ford does deliver on the 5.4L Stangs though. It's not like can afford one though. ------------------ Steve Stumbaugh 89 LX 5.0 5sp. Removed air silencer Motorcraft 8mm wires Autolite platinum plugs BBK O/R h-pipe |

I am a Mustang die hard...
Sorry, the Cobra R does not compare as a daily driver to the Zo6 ... at all. The Z06 gives you performance on the track and comfort off the track, at a price very similar to an R. Oh, and I haven't seen an R turn a 12.34 quarter mile yet the 385 Z06 does that... Wait till you see the 405 Z06. If I could afford either, I would get the Z06. If i'd have to much money to spare, I would get the Cobra R, and get a second car for when I want to listen to the radio. |
