Arrow T-5 Electrical connections...help!

Hello All,
My original1988 B/W T-5 bit the dust last week and i just recieved a D&D rebuild. The original tranny has an electrical connector dangling from the top forward part of the case. The new '93Tremec T-5 has nothing in this area...??
Questions: what is it? Do I need it?
The car is an all original 88 LX 5.0 Speed Density Hatch
I am going to install in a couple days..just trying to avert disaster..
Any help would be appreciated...thx in advance.

Turns out it is the neutral sensing switch (only used by the dealers diagnostic systems)
I was told to tie it off and forget about it.
thx for your reply.
