Default 1 3/4 long tube header install.

I helped my brother in law install some 1 3/4 long tube mac headers on his 90 lx last night. The car has a 393 stroker so we thought it needed to breath.

Anyways I have always heard especially on this site what a pain in the @ss long tubes were to install. I dont get it.

We jacked up the motor and dropped the passenger side in from the top. Then on the drivers side we removed the steering shaft and put the the header in through the bottom. Then we routed the steering shaft between the header tubes and bolted the engine back down.

Start to finish in 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Pretty easy if you ask me.
