header install
I am planning on getting some bbk long tube headers and have a question regarding install. Will I need to unbolt the motormounts and jack up the motor to get the l/t's in? I have heard some say yes, and some say no. What are your experiences? Also, should I get 1 5/8" or 1 3/4"? I do plan on getting some heads in the future, but not the very near future.

always stay with 1-5/8 on a 302. the 3/4 should be for strokers and such, and i mean big strokers like 393= c.i's.
Dude, i been told with a lift you can get them in from underneath, but i dont see that happening, also, i heard you might have to pull out the steering shaft......sorry i cant help more.

1 3/4 are good with AFR's, but on mild motors I owuld stick to the 1 5/8's. Now on the install, yes you have to undo the motor mounts, and the steering shaft. hope this helps.
