![]() Wow...that's quite a question. I can't be real specific, but I know some general stuff. The early Fox-bodied cars are typically pretty slow stock...between '79 and '85 or so they probably ran between high 14s and high 15s (especially the '80 and '81s since they had the 255cid motors) depending on the model and driver. As for later model EFI cars, speed density cars seem to run slightly better bone stock, probably due to the restriction imposed by the mass air meter. Some speed/density cars with EXTREMELY well prepared chassis can run high 12s bone stock. LXs are typically noticably faster than GTs due too less weight and fluff (ground effects mostly). Ok, so maybe that wasn't the best answer, but it's a start. Now if someone else can back it up with a few numbers....

![]() My dad's 91GT: 14.6 at 94mph
My cousin's 94GT: 14.8 at 93 My 95 GT convertible: 15.2 at 90mph All these cars are 5 speeds. Their current times: 91GT: 13.7 at 97.9mph- gears, tires, pulleys, and exhaust 94GT: 14.2's at 97mph- gears, pulleys, and exhaust (soon to be in 12's- just added KB SC) 95GT Convert: 13.8 at 98.5mph gears, exhaust, pulleys, intake, T-body, tires ------------------ 95 GT convt' 5 speed, 3.73's,FMS HD clutch, Pro 5.0 shifter, ASP alum. underdrive pulleys, Bassani offroad X pipe, 2 chmbr flowmasters, K&N w/o silencer, edelbrock performer intake, FRPP 65mm T-body, FRPP shorty headers, FRPP aluminum driveshaft.Hooker 4pt chrome car bar, Xenon/Wings West ground effects, custom interior Best ET: 13.83 Best MPH: 98.55mph with Best 60': 1.91 on Nitto DR's Homepage: <A HREF="http://www.angelfire.com/pa2/killercanary" TARGET=_blank>http://www.angelfire |
