scorpion roller rockers... good or bad
I just dropped my car off to get some Trick flow heads installed and was told I had to buy a ton of extra $hit to put them on.I had Crane 1.7 rollers (pedistal mount) that i just put on 1 month ago and was told I needed stud mount. So he sells me scorpion 1.7 rollers (stud mount)and tells me their one of the best on the market. He also tells me the ford motersport valve covers I just put on won't work either and sells me Comp valve covers. Well after new rollers, hardened push rods, valve covers, gaskets, lifters, timing chain, breather cap, which he said I had to use, and other misc. crap i'm in it for $2600.00. Well over what I had planned on spending.Do I really need all the extras. And are scorpion rollers any good.

I have heard some good things about those scorpion rocker arms, he is not lying about the rocker arms with trickflow heads you need them (I know I just bought a set). Most of it sounds right, except alot of people say to reuse the lifters (because like a fine wine they get better with age as long as they spin freely). Good luck with the car, sounds like it will run pretty good after that.
