Post Quieting Squeaky Bushings?

I have recently noticed an aweful Squeak coming from what seems to be the left rear of the car. I think it is the control arm bushing (stock at 87K). Sprayed all the joints with Tri-flo (all I had on hand), and it seemed to help. My question is, can I drill into the bushing sleeve and install a grease fitting so that I could pump some grease into the sleeve itself, instead of spraying it every other day? I plan on new control arms anyway, but need to get by for awhile longer. Do these bushings go bad? (95 'vert)
