Question 1994-1995 5.0 horsepower rating

I may get an engine out of a '94 GT - is the long block assembly exactly the same as mine b/c I know the power rating dropped in '94? Also, I'll be putting my Edelbrock intake and carb. on it.

The 94/95 GT's were rated at 215 HP with the Stock Intake and crappy headers.

I have also heard them rated at 225 HP with a 5 speed (I believe unit has talked about this), but I personally haven't seen it rated that high, yet. And unit if you know where you got that number let me know.

Anyway, that is my $0.02

I believe the '94-95's are rated 225hp and the '96-98's are 215hp.

Well, if you were to look in the Chilton's manual, it would rate the 1994-1995 GT at 225hp/300lb-ft. Then again, it rates the 1993 at 225 as well

I'll have to dig on where the information came from originally. The 225 for the manual and 215 for the stick, anyway.

I thought the 94-95 were rated at 215 hp, a 10 horsepower drop from previous because of the different intake manifold design required by the lower hood profile on the new body style

well, not to be biased, but, I've read that its 215 everywhere, but I've heard its 225 from Ford, underrated for insurance reasons, now, can someone verify that?

I'm going to dyno in a few days, what would 215 HP w/ a T-5 convert to rear-wheel HP?
That way I'll know exactly what it puts out..

I can not beleive it but I was wrong on my post before. a 1995 has 215 hp @ 4200RPM and 288 Torque @ 3300RPM. A 1993 has 205hp and 275 torque.
