1994-1995 mustang 5.0 production
does anyone know exactly how many 94-95 mustang 5.0's were produced and distributed worldwide, and also what was the horsepower rating for these years.

hp for the GT where 215-225 hp depending on who you ask.

I heard that the automatics had 215hp
And the 5-speeds had 225 hp. It had something to do with the computer on the autos. Apparently they are crap and it lost 10hp. Not positive though, don't hold me to it. My original window sticker says 225hp, I have the 5-speed.

I believe the HP breakdown was like this:
V6 - 150 HP GT (auto) - 215 HP GT (manual) - 225 HP Cobra - 240 HP I believe the difference in the auto and manual trannys was that the stock transmission was so inefficient that ford covered it up by claiming the auto made less power, when in reality it was the same engine, same power. (?) Not sure on the production numbers, there are site that you can find this information, I just can't remember where to find them... |

94-95 mustang:base,GT,GTS(95)SVTCobra:
320,060 units 1994: 145 hp-v6 215/20 hp-Gt AOD/5spd 240 hp-Cobra-(use of Gt-40 heads, 1.72:1 rockers, intake) 1995: *Hp same as 94 for v6, GT and Cobra but introduction of cobra R 5.8 351 in select 250 Cobra R models *intro of Mustang Gts( stripped down version of GT)mimics a lot of stylings from the Lx 5.0 fox stangs(a poor mans 5.0) no power anything, cloth seats,no rear wing..etc.(exceptionally rare nowadays) styling cues changed(vertical bars replace horizontaL in brake lights, different wheel design for cobra

According to "Mustang the original ponicar", by Randy Leffingwell, Ford produced 137074 '94 Mustangs.
