Question 2 simple Questions o2 & gears

what gears should i put on my 90 gt stang 5 speed 3:73 or 3:55 is there such a big diff between the 2?

and....

How can i know if my o2 sensors are bad? where can i get the codes from in my comp. thanks

I had 3.08, 3.55 3.73 and 4.10, now has 4.10 for competition purposes.

I personally prefer 3.73 for the street, changing to that from 4.10 soon.

About the codes the are plenty of articles on the net, check here @ mustangworks, if not check sn95.com. you have to find the conector in the engine bay, make a cable bridge and switch on the car. and the check engine light will give you the codes. Or even better you could buy a code reader. But is not really useful if you don't do it too often.

They say 3.73 max for man. trans 4.10 for auto.The plug for reading codes is on the drivers side under the hood on the back of the wheel well,its got a black cover on it that says EEC.You can get a code scanner at sears cheap,its easy to use.

Thanks alot guys i really appreciate ur response... i just got the code reader from a local auto parts (29.99) and i'm just waiting for friday to come up to use it.....could it be that ever since i change to off road h-pipe my car is consuming more gas???? just a question and any tips on using the code reader?
