2001 lightning super charger-Will it fit a 5.0 HO
 

I just one a 2001 lightning supercharger and intercooler on ebay will it fit a 5.0 or do I need to go buy a modular mustang?????

Why buy the supercharger and then ask if it fits?

It fits on a 460 too!:D j/k

The intercooler sits on the lower intake manifold and the supercharger sits on top of the intercooler. The lower intake manifold is a 5.4L specific manifold and won't work on 4.6's let alone a 5.0L.
I can say with 100% accuracy that there is no way that it will work unless you transplant a 5.4L into your car (which of course, would be pretty sweet....but costly).

If nothing else, you'll at least be able to get some money out of winning that supercharger.

Even if it doesnt fit I am still pumped I bought it dirt cheap, the guy put a buy it now price and I jumped all over it. If there is no way I can use it I will sale it and make a PHAT grip of cash.

It'll only fit a 5.4L SOHC. Your best bet would be to sell it. Go to some web sites like www.f150online.com/ www.f150world.com/ and the National Lightning Owner's Club site (link in my sig). Other than that it's useless and you wasted money. Are you sure it even works? And you're positive it's a 2001? Why the heck did they sell it? I just see too many red flags flying around that thing.
