![]() In a couple of weeks I am going to have about $400 to spend on my stang. The problem is, I don't know what to spend it on!! Here's what I have done to my car so far:
- Ordering X-pipe and MAC Flowpath tomorrow - Steeda Subframes w/cross braces - race crank pulley - 3.55 gears - E303 cam(came with the car) I am considering getting a TFS Street heat or Cobra intake, but I have read posts that on a stock-headed car, you MIGHT get 10hp. Is this true?? I am also planning on adding nitrous in the future, or should I do it now?? I don't want to waste $400 of hard-earned money on something that is not going to make much of a diffrence. I have read numerous posts dealing with this subject, but I still can't make up my mind!! If I could afford a set of heads or a blower, my problem would be solved, but I am a poor college student with a mediocre summer job. Please give advice!! |

![]() You would be lucky if you got any more than 7 HP.
Do the nitrous...get a used kit for about $250 and save the rest. Save for the heads. My car went 12.50's on a 75 shot and 4.10's. You have a stick or auto??? If it's an auto save for the tranny rebuild. You will almost be a 1/4 of the way there. ------------------ 4.10's,long tubes & 75 shot...Goes 12.50's Check it out at http://www.burnouts.stangnet.com 11's coming soon!!!! Heads, intake and cam are all here |

![]() Nitrous is good, but cylinder heads are permanent. Can't you hold onto your money or is it burning a hole in your pocket? I'd try to save for heads. I too am a poor broke college student, and my mediocre job is Toys "R" Us. However, I've managed to get 4:10 gears, a centerforce clutch, and a used 6# blower. My car hauls butt now! Be patient, cause cylinder heads are the doorway to power( so are superchargers).
