275/50/15's do fit!

Well, put them on today to see if they fit and they fit perfect. I have BFG Drag Radials on stock 10 hole rims. there was no rubbing at all. I already had removed the quad shocks so I dont know if they would be in the way.

damn, i bet they bow out pretty bad on yours, because i have the same size in Nitto's on my rear but they're on 7.5" wheels and they bow out quite a bit on mine
i was thinking that since the tire has to bow up and back in to the wheel that its losing some contact with the ground, look at it from behind the tire with your head close to the ground and you'll see what im talking about,
anyway, that size really looks meaty on a 15" rim doesnt it http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif

They bow out but it isn't that bad. I took it out for a test run and checked the contact patch, seems to be using what it's supposed too!

They are for track only, not going to drive them on the street.

I am kicking myself for not getting drag radials earlier! I can bring it up to about 3600 rpms and dump it, get small amount of spin, but they HOOK! Brought the rpms to 4000 and fed the clutch...holy crap! no spin, and launched great! Cant wait to really learn how at the track next sat!

When I bought my car it had 295/50/15's on the 10 holes. Sure was a heck of a burnout line. There was no quads on it and it would only scrape the fender well turning into a driveway that was elevated. She wasnt much of a curve hugger but there was serious go straight traction

Hmmmm... 295's on 10 holes. Damn. I would think that would be a total nightmare to mount.

Unit, you are SOOOO right. I've had to put 295/50R15 Bridgestone Dueler HP tires on a Camaro RS (a couple of years ago). It took 3 of us and a whole lot of swearing and tire lube to get it on. Getting a tire on is sometimes easier than getting a tire off....poor soul who has to dismount those. At least i don't have to http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif
