4 to 5 lug conversion
Does anybody know the hollander number for the 5 lug Ranger rear axle shafts? I am getting conflicting numbers from the how to articles, I don't want to get the wrong ones, aye? Any other pointers on zeroing in on the right ones? do they come from a 8 or 10 bolt rear end on the Ranger? thanks

5-lug axle
83-92 ranger/bronko2 4cyl or 3.0 v6 is 7.5 rear end .driver side only! 4.0 rangers use 8.8 rear end axles same unless you are using drum brakes.4.0 ranger 8.8 rear uses 10 inch drum stang 8.8 uses 9 inch drum.for disk brakes ethier axle works fine.length is 29.156 inches .use tape measure from flange to end of axle and you will get 29.25.86-97 aerostar pass side also.from 1979 to 1993 FORD made one axle for stang 4-lug fits 7.5 or 8.8 same axle same strength.i make up 5-lug rear disk kits using mk-7 parts and ranger axles, all mods and welding done uses your stock p-cables,and brake lines with 2-3 port kit 300$ .250$ with out axles okc okla 405-943-8476

Someone correct me if im wrong on this cuz im probably gonna screw up the details. From what i remember you need a set of custom caliper brackets(80 bucks) or i believe you can take the brackets of a lincoln marc 7 and switch them around. eg use the right one on the left side and the left one on the right side. Then you can steal calipers and everything from the same marc 7. There is a little grinding to be done to let everything fit, and then you need a new e-brake cable and brake lines. I think the ebrake setup sells for just over a 100 and the brake lines, well you can make them yourself and pay 20 dollars for the flex lines at the end.
