3"pro-chamber or 3" x-pipe
I have long tube headers and I am going to run 3" x-pipe or 3" prochamber but I want everyone’s opinion on which one to get.
I will be running 1 chamber 3" flowmasters and 3" turndowns. The motor will be a 347 stroker. How do you think this will sound? I was thinking the x-pipe would tone it down a little and I have heard the pro chamber does not sound good but I have never heard one. ------------------ James Cox nochevy@hotmail.com 1991 Mustang LX 12.565 @109.38mph 1.764 60ft |
I think that I would probably go with a H-pipe. They are cheaper and I think they sound bettter. But if it's between those two, I would get the ProChamber, just becuase of the different sound it makes.

I think a 3" exhaust is a bit overkill for a 347. It will really sap your low-end.
I'd go with the 2 1/2" x-pipe (Hedman Headers brand). H-pipes are only good to 3k. The Hedmen made more power than pro chamber in a 5.0 Mustang and Super Ford test. ------------------ 351W 89 Mustang GT Convertible |
