Post 302 and 351W starters...interchange?

Could I buy one of those smaller '93 starters and install it on my early 351W?
I need more clearance between my starter and exhaust pipes.

Sure it will. No problem. I have a '69 351W block and the starter I have is a smaller high torque version. Good luck!
