Default still problems Need help please

ok i made a previous post for my original problem.. I changed my TFI module, pick up coil, and ignition coil.. the car won't go past 4000rpm.. it sounds like a serious rev limiter.. could my ECM be bad? It doesn't seem to me like its controling the timing correctly.. The car pulls hard till the tach hits about 4K then it just breaks up like a rev limiter.. i have no idea what is going on.. please help.. thanks!

Default still problems

When is the last time you changed your fuel filter? I'd start with that. If the problem is still there then start the process of elimination with replacing the spark plugs, cap, rotor, plug wires....

you can spend a lot of money by replacing parts like that. A shop has a scope that you can hook it up to if you are not able to figure it out. Be careful by throwing parts at it, another guy on another board has sunk 1500 $ into parts into an 89 camaro and still has not found the problem yet

I agree check the fuel filter, and make sure you have no shorts in your ignition. Also whats your timing at?

my timing is at 12 degrees... I pulled the distributor out i lined up the crank to 0 degrees and put the distributor right on the #1 plug.. is that correct.. I also had my tfi checked and it tested bad.. so i put another one in and still the same issue.. i noticed that sometimes after i drive it for a little bit the rpm's that i can reach drop from 4000k to 3000k then i can'tr even reach 2500k without that rev limiter effect.. i also noticed like it runs, as if the timing spout is out when it is warm and if i pull the connector ot it makes no difference.. it is very strange.. i have a hunch that the ecm is bad and doesn't know what to do with timing.. any idea's? the tume up is in good shape.
